Present-day college freshman and devout Christian, Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper), finds his faith challenged on his first day of Philosophy class by the dogmatic and argumentative Professor Radisson (Kevin Sorbo). Radisson begins class by informing students that they will need to disavow, in writing, the existence of God on that first day, or face a failing grade. As other students in the class begin scribbling the words “God Is Dead” on pieces of paper as instructed, Josh find himself at a crossroads, having to choose between his faith and his future. Josh offers a nervous refusal, provoking an irate reaction from his smug professor. Radisson assigns him a daunting task: if Josh will not admit that “God Is Dead,” he must prove God’s existence by presenting well-researched, intellectual arguments and evidence over the course of the semester, and engage Radisson in a head-to-head debate in front of the class. If Josh fails to convince his classmates of God’s existence, he will fail the course and hinder his lofty academic goals. With almost no one in his corner, Josh wonders if he can really fight for what he believes. Can he actually prove the existence of God? Wouldn’t it just be easier just to write “God Is Dead” and put the whole incident behind him? GOD’S NOT DEAD weaves together multiple stories of faith, doubt and disbelief, culminating in a dramatic call to action. The film will educate, entertain, and inspire moviegoers to explore what they really believe about God, igniting important conversations and life-changing decisions.

GOD’S NOT DEAD features a talented cast of actors including Kevin Sorbo (SOUL SURFER, HERCULES, ANDROMEDA), Shane Harper (GOOD LUCK CHARLIE, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2), David A.R. White (BROTHER WHITE, REVELATION ROAD and JERUSALEM COUNTDOWN), and Dean Cain (LOIS & CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN), with special appearances by Christian super-band Newsboys and “Duck Dynasty’s” Willie and Korie Robertson.

Hi-er! I'm so excited to watch this movie!! Please watch this movie and don't miss it. This is an opportunity to know more about God. If you want to be happy genuinely, you want to be truely free from sins, you want to throw all the excess baggages in your heart?? Just cry it out all to God!! Surrender it all to Him! Let Him be the driver to your life. Put all your confIdence and faith to Him. He loves you so much and He is waiting patiently for you. I don't know your situation that you are going through right but just trust Him even if you don't know his plans for you. Just trust Him. Trust Him. He loves you so much. :)

Let the Storm Subside

I have faced so many storms in my life, some like the quick afternoon storms that are common in the summertime and some that seemed like category four hurricanes! 

If I have learned anything about weathering those storms, it has been that they don't last forever, and I don't need to make major decisions in the midst of them. 

Thoughts and feelings run wild in the midst of crises, but those are exactly the times we need to be careful about making decisions. I often say to myself, "Let emotions subside before you decide." 

We must remain calm and discipline ourselves to focus on doing what we can do and trust God to do what we can't do. 
Instead of drowning in worry and fear, get in touch with God, who sees past the storm and orchestrates the big picture. 

He makes sure everything that needs to happen in our lives happens at the right time, moves at the appropriate speed, and causes us to arrive safely at the destinations He has planned for us. 

Prayer Starter: God, I know that I can't control everything, so I will do what I can and trust You to do what I can't do. The storms of life do not control me. I trust Your plans for me.

LOVE is not IRRITABLE

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! Love will lead you to forgive instead of holding a grudge. To be grateful instead of greedy. To be content rather that rushing into more debt. Love encourages you to be happy when someone else succeeds rather that lying awake at night in envy. Love syas "share the inheritance" rather than "fight with your relatives". It reminds you to prioritize your family rather than sacrifice them for a promotion at work. In each decision, love ultimately lowers your stress and helps you to release the venom that can build up inside. It then sets up your heart to respond to the people around you with patience and encouragement rather that anger and exasperation.

PLANETSHAKERS Concert 2013 Dubai

Hi-er!!! Yes I'm back. Just want to share with you guys that yhe concert of Planetshakers was very very awesome!! I really enjoyed it. Actually, me and my friend Eunice don't have any idea how to go to dubai from here in Abu Dhabi. So the person who sell the tickets gives us the contact to the person who will rent the bus for those people who doesn't know how to commute to dubai. But fortunately, yes! "fortunately". Prince (the coordinator who supposedly will rent the bus) said that he can't able to rent because of some problems and He offered us to go with him coz he has his own car. He's a christian that's why we feel that we will gonna be safe with him. Then he fetch us from our flat then we met one filipino lady and two australian ladies. They become our friends. :) 

I really enjoyed this night. We praise and worship Jesus Christ!  Every words of lyrics of the song that we are singing was so meaningful to me. It's like that we are expressing our love to God. They sing Nothing but the blood of Jesus, Your name brings healing to me, the Anthem, Limitless, Nothing is Impossible and many more.

I bought the cap, the albums are blessings from my friend and the t-shirt is a blessing from Prince.

But for me it is not about the band or concert why I go there, it's about the fellowship that I experience with those people that I am with, it's about expressing my love through praising and worship my God. And I believe that if you are doing something that is pleasing to God, he will make a move for you. He will be the one who will work for you. He's ways are always better than us. And see, he provide a car for me so it will not be hard for me to go to the venue. Maybe for you it's a simple thing, but for me it's really God who did the favour to me. :D

Hi-er!! Just want to share that I have a ticket already for the concert!! I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!! Hahaha!! I have to ask my boss first to allow me to have my off for that day! And I know God will help me.. So happy!! See you there guyzt!!

Healthy snacks II

 

Kallo organic rice cake and raw almonds while watching movies.. 

Kallo organic rice cake is made up of  100%  natural ingredients and organic wholegrain brown rice and you can add toppings if you want. But me, I prefer to spinkle some sea salt.

This is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Almonds are goods for snacks because it doesn't have transfat and saturated fat. I recommend this as a snacks while watching or chatting with your friends because you are not risking your health without noticing that you are having a lot of it.

Healthy snack.

I'm a big fan of Lay's and I always buy here because it's a half price cheaper here in abu dhabi than in philippines. But I have to lose weight here so i need to find a snacks that I can sub from what I used to eat. Fortunately,  I found this Mackies of Scotland. It comes with the 3 flavors, it has sea salt, salt and vinegar and cherry tomato and herbs flavor. Then I try each of flavors. All flavors are good but my fave now is cherry tomato & herbs. It's good just like other brands.

BTW, it has allergens information at the back of packaging, it says there, it contains, gluten, wheat and milk products. It is produced in factory which handles gluten, milk, wheat, soya, celery and barley.

It is suitable also for vegetarians. But it depends on what kind of vegetarian you are. If you are a vegans you better not try this one because it may contain a milk product. :) 

Pecan bars is my sub for chocolates.  Found this one on oatmeal products section. It doesn't comes with saturated fat, transfat and cholesterol and this one is gluten free. So I think, this is a good sub for other sweet. But this is also sweet so eating of pecan bars once or twice a week will be fine..

1st Christmas here in Abu Dhabi!

This is my first time to celebrate the Christmas without my family.

But I have to enjoy it without them because I have a wonderful family here, my colleagues! They may not be a perfect but they are the one that I've been always here with. 

Update after almost a year!!!

Woah! It's been a long long loooong time!!! I've been very busy for a long time. Busy working and enjoying life here in Abu Dhabi U.A.E. But I'm back and I'm ready to post some reviews about the beauty products that I am using here. Yeah! You read it right!  Hehe! But I will still post anything under the sun. This is not a beauty blog or whatsoevah!. Just want to share it with you guys..

Going upstairs is not easy. You have to be strong and patience to endure your tiredness and shorts of breathing. In life, you have also to be strong and patience to endure all the problems and sufferings. Because there is no easy way to go up. All the experiences, mistakes and wounds has a rewards that is waiting. God is good all the time. He will give you all the best in life. It's only up you if you will receive it or not. 

Touch Point : EXPOSED SERIES

We always become a friend or a follower of someone or something. Some become friends or followers because you want something from them. Most of us say we are friend of God or we say we follow God. Do we really?

Tommorow's a Brand New Day

Sometimes it's hard to accept
the many disappointment in life we face
But we have to believe there's some reason
and hold onto the Lords Grace.
For what seems to be so unfair
and so difficult for us to understand
Is just a small piece of the puzzle
of our life that God has planned.
And as each door will close
they say a window will open its eyes
and life will bring about changes
and with each new day - a surprise!
So believe in all of Gods love
and know it surrounds you every day
with courage and strength you will make it thru
for tomorrow's a Brand New Day!!

Judge Not

Rich man, poor man, beggerman, thief,
in life, they play their part,
Tis no matter what we may see,
Christ looks upon the heart.
He came not to condemn the world,
The ugly nor the fair,
The harlots who walk in darkness,
Nor men whose beds they share.
He finds no fault with the sinner,
For "All" He gave His life,
He loves us with all our faults,
Our problems, trials and strife.
Price tags on our lives are equal,
For Christ has made them all.
He paid the price with His own life
And lifts us when we fall.
Ah yes, my friend, be not surprised,
When life on earth is through,
And Heavens roll is called for us
Who's standing next to you.

Walk with Me

My friend and I were sitting at the table
We were talking over things we'd seen and done
When I saw a lone tear stream down her face
So I asked her then to tell me what was wrong

I saw her hesitate for just a moment
Then with a shaking voice she went on to say
I've been so afraid to talk about this
Cause as a friend I couldn't bear you to turn me away

She said, "If you died today do you know you'd go to heaven?
Have you thought much about eternity?
Have you asked the Lord to be your Saviour?
So that when we walk the golden streets you will walk with me."

She went on to say that we are all born sinners
And just being good won't help you or me
That if we don't take Jesus as our Saviour
An eternity in hell is where we'll be

We just have to realize and ask forgiveness
Then ask Jesus to come into our heart
From that point we'll forever be His children
Cause to Him that point is where our life will start

She said, "If you died today do you know you'd go to heaven?
Have you thought much about eternity?
Have you asked the Lord to be your Saviour?
So that when we walk the golden streets you will walk with me."

A Reality of Life

Life isn't just full of happiness,
It's sunsets, it's love, it's tears.
It's the thoughts of yesterdays memories,
That can wash away all out fears.

It's that very painful experience,
That each one of us has had.
It's the laughter that fills the air,
It's the tears when you are sad.

It's loving that someone special,
That at one time made you smile.
It's the pain of losing that person,
But the memories that make it worthwhile.

It's that child in every one of us,
Although in time we'll all be old.
It's the good times we'll never forget,
It's the memories we'll always hold.

It's the hug that we all need,
When we'd rather drown in our sorrow.
It's the hope in every one of us,
That makes us hold on for tomorrow.

Footprints in the Sand by Mary Stevenson

I knew this poem first in my elementary days and as I grew up I realize that this poem was really Godly and inspiring and since then this poem become my favorite.

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”

The Lord replied,
“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.”

The Value of Wisdom

Happy is the who finds wisdom,

     the man who gain understanding;

For the profit from Wisdom is better than the profit in silver,

     and better that gold is her revenue;

She is more precious than corals,

    and none of your choice possesions

    can compare with her.

Long life is in her right hand,

     in her left are riches and honor;

Her ways are pleasant ways,

     and all her paths are peace.

She is a tree of life to these who grasp her,

     and she is happy who holds her fast.
